TimeLab is on a mission to create spaces and opportunities for artists to showcase their works. They're excited to include more members of Catalyst's artistic community on this year's programme of the second MANIFEST:IO symposium for new media and electronic art in February 2024.
Emphasising communication and knowledge exchange, the event seeks to build a strong network in the new media field. While submissions on any theme are welcome, the focus is on works exploring new media's dimensions in connection to socio-political issues. The call encourages projects addressing body politics, borders, refugees, gender politics, AI ethics and more.
MANIFEST:IO aims to showcase diverse perspectives, fostering discussions on these critical themes. Eligible applicants include students, recent graduates, academics, artists and collectives in Berlin. Artists seeking their first opportunities are prioritised.
The deadline for submissions is January 15th, and the open call is free.
