Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a wonderful break. 

Over the holiday period the Berlin corona traffic light began a downward trend, from red into into amber. Unfortunately the indication at this time is that this trend is reversing and it is possible that the warning indicator will jump back to red in the next days. 

As such we will be monitoring the situation this week and preparing for both situations. If the indications move back to red we must maintain the same lesson delivery methods as in December, with practical classes taking place in person, with any class that can take place online doing so. If the trend remains amber we will return to regular in person delivery of all classes. 

Certainly you have all heard that this new variant is more transmissible and has more cold like symptoms, as such I ask that each of you keep a close eye on your health and to please take advantage of the free Bürgertests if you have any cold like symptoms. Please do this before coming to class and even if you are immunized. Please also ensure that your FFP2 mask fits properly and that you wear it at all times on campus.
