/// 1. Sound Design using Sound Particles with Samaquias

18:15, CoMingle

Imagine if you could recreate a city soundscape using particles, or create virtual impulse responses to unimagined places. Sound particles is a software that uses computer graphic techniques in conjunction with audio assets to achieve complex sound design such as city soundscapes, battlefields, insect swarms, and much more. This workshop will focus on the practical uses of Sound Particles (film, music, installations, etc) while proposing an optimal workflow incorporating your DAW.

/// 2. Dolby Atmos Mixing with Elliot Duke

19:15, CoMingle

Since Apple Music announced support for Dolby Atmos last Summer, we’ve seen this format mentioned everywhere. But many artists and producers still don’t understand exactly what it is or how it works. In this workshop, Atmos mixing engineer Elliot Duke will cut through the hype and explain how this technology and skillset might be relevant to your work as an artist, producer, or engineer. He’ll talk about what many engineers still get wrong when mixing Atmos, and give a brief but comprehensive overview of best practices so that when you leave the workshop you’ll be able to incorporate immersive techniques into your production or deliver your clients mixes with a depth that’s unreachable in stereo.

/// About
